Make sure the contents of your boxes are protected. Be liberal in your use of bubble wrap, “peanuts,” foam padding, shredded paper or newspaper, etc.
When you are confident that the contents of your box are secure, seal the box with shipping tape. Make sure all sides of the box are tightly taped. Don’t cover up any of your shipping information with the tape.
If you are shipping something that is very large, you should use a pallet. Place your secured freight on the pallet, fasten it well, and wrap it in plastic. This is especially important if your freight must be moved with a forklift. Pallets are also handy if you are shipping many smaller boxes.
One more time: make sure all of your boxes are clearly labeled. Use waterproof ink.
For your information: if you are shipping something overseas, your pallet must be made of a non-wood substance, or treated wood.
